I am so grateful that my path has led me to GLOW. I received my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration- Accounting from UW-Milwaukee. I earned my Masters in Education from Mount Mary University with a minor in Mathematics, and currently teach high school math in Milwaukee. My focus and passion is on nurturing confidence in my students and bringing a sense of empowerment in math to individuals who have a history of feeling excluded from math related fields of study. I came to GLOW looking for more opportunities to support and empower individuals who are underserved in our community to realize their potential and achieve the success they deserve.

I enjoy playing board games and basketball, doing arts and crafts, and I love dancing and listening to music. I was in gymnastics and did track in middle/high school. I support my daughters and friends by giving advice about lifestyle. I’m a caring person trying to make a better choice with my life. I am volunteering because I like helping people. GLOW is an interesting program for the community. GLOW is a wonderful organization for anybody. So far I like being around them.
Quatina G, BSW
I obtained my Bachelor's in Social Work in 2019 from UWM-Milwaukee. What inspired me to pursue a career in social work is experiencing and witnessing numerous disadvantages of social inequality throughout my childhood. My expertise is youth and family services, Alcohol and other Drug Abuse (AODA), Mental Health, Trauma Informed, and Cultural Awareness. Paving a way, providing resources, and opportunities for the oppressed became a vital mission. My goal is to receive my Master's of Social Work and become a Substance Abuse Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The reason I chose to become a mentor with GLOW is because I believe in the mission, wanted to have a positive impact on youth, and support a Black Owned Business.
Fun fact about me: "I love to study Egypt."

Although I am new to this role, as a Credible Messenger, my passion and experience for loving the whole child shows in the roles I am not new to, motherhood, teacher hood, sisterhood, doula, and all-around loudmouth advocate for those who can't advocate for themselves! I graduated from Riverside university High School and Averno College with a bachelor's and an emphasis in Education. I fully believe in supporting the WHOLE child and that should not stop in grammar school. I love psychological thrillers and dad jokes! My hobbies include anime, baking, Shenanigans of all sorts, and to GLOW wherever I am!Wishing you well and looking forward to making positive impacts in our beautiful city.
